Logseq Kanban and Tabs Plugins

The Logseq plugin ecosystem has come quite a ways since my initial look at it.
This week, we are taking a look at the Kanban and Tabs plugins. The Tabs plugin could be very useful if you have a smaller screen. While the Kanban plugin is one I'll be keeping my eye on as it hopefully gets more features.
The Tabs plugin may be the way you prefer to use Logseq.

You can hold down CTRL (CMD on a Mac) and click a link to a new page to open the page in a new tab.
You can double click a tab to pin it so it won't be closed or changed. Middle clicking or clicking the x will close the tab. Additiionally, the open tabs will save between sessions. You can also click and drag tabs to change the order.
You can find out more about the Logseq tabs plugin here.
The kanban plugin allows you to visualize tasks as a kanban board. There are two types of boards you can create. The first allows you to name your lanes. The second uses Logseqs built in TODO system and can even use a query.
You can create your own lanes if you like. To do this:
- Press the
/
key and start typing kanban. Select that and press enter. - Tab in, type
data
then press enter again and tab in. - Type the lane names you want, pressing enter after each
- Tab in below those tabs to create tasks in each lane.
The final result should look something like this:

You can use the keyboard shortcut ALT + SHIFT + UP
or ALT + SHIFT + DOWN
(the defaults for me) to move tasks between each lane.
To create a task based Kanban board:
- Press the
/
key and start typing kanban. Select that and press enter. - Tab in, type
tasks
then press enter - Tab in and start adding TODO based tasks, alternately, use a query to bring in tasks.
Example: TODO Kanban Task 1

In my opinion, the best method to take advantage of the Kanban plugins as is, is to use a query to pull in tasks from a project or other pages.
The tab plugin can be very useful if you have a smaller screen, or need to pin a few pages that you access often.
